School Library and Bookshop Information

Our aim is to promote reading for pleasure amongst all students, so that they develop a real enthusiasm and love for books. We have a wide variety of books, ranging from picture books to fiction and non-fiction books for all children to borrow and enjoy.

During their library sessions, children can borrow or reserve books and explore our library. There is also the opportunity for students to access Junior Librarian from home, to reserve books or to see what books they have on loan.

Pre-covid, we had thirteen Year 6 Student Librarians, whose help was invaluable, as they help in the running of the library on a daily basis. They learn new valuable life skills such as respecting books, helping others, organising and keeping our library tidy.

Our Librarian, is in school weekly. If you wish to contact her please reach out via the school office.

Music and singing play an important part at St Mary’s.
